We believe that for those who fly American Airlines, the word PASSENGER is too passive of a word. They are something much bigger than that. We like to call them Voyagers. These are the travelers who are not just commuting from point A to point B, but are traversing the globe with purpose -- business, pleasure, or exploration: American Airlines: Now Boarding All Voyagers
Single click geo-tag let's you easily record favorite restaurants, beautiful sites, or any other location. Custom entry gives you full creative control to make your journal your own way.
In addition to the GeoTagging capabilities, the app prompts you to create various types of quick entries so that you continue to journal as your trip happens.
Beyond that, the app pulls in your pictures, posts and status updates for a well-rounded journal.
It quickly allows you to curate which of these posts stay in the journal and which to remove by simply clicking the navigation star to the left; if the star is blue the post will appear in your journal, if it is red, it will not.
DIGITAL PASSPORT
A passport is something to be proud of, especially for a Voyager, as they’ve traveled to so many places, BUT it’s never been easy to show off, because it’s not something you carry around with you everyday.
So this takes Facebook maps and turnes it into a Digital Passport, so Voyagers can finally be able to show off their stamp collections.
For every place you go, you’ll be given a stamp. Stamps will be created for countries, as well as, states. Friends can flip through the passport and click on stamps to see dates and pictures from the trip.
A new inflight magazine called “The Voyager.” The magazine would feature articles on real life modern day Voyagers. Some of these people would be a little more well known such as, Blake Mycoskie --- the creator of Tom’s shoes. While other’s would be more up and coming Voyagers such as, Bobbito Garcia --- a traveling filmmaker and dj.
The important thing is that these people aren’t just traveling, but that they’re doing something noteworthy and interesting through their travels.
There would also be an in-flight video series that would showcase the stories of these Voyagers.
Digital poster wall in the airport - reminding onlookers to travel with purpose.
Tweeting @AA #NowBoarding: followed by your own word, describing what kind of Voyager you are, and a picture attachment will get your travels incorporated in the digital wall.
Wild Posters will be created through images tweeted to the digital wall and posted around the city.
Targeted placement ads & specialty products will be placed at random throughout the city. For example, a bookmark hidden in the an adventure book in the library (seen above).
Other placements might include a special label on a can of beans in an Indian spice market and other places that when found, would incite a feeling of belong to these people because they traveled off the beaten path.
